MFR was designed solely for the Canon HV20/30/40 series camcorders. We released the mfr in early 2009 (we were called Irv Design Inc at the time),and released the version 2.0 in late 2010. Version 2.0 provides a geared slider ring for perfectly accurate focusing along with a "grippy" outer surface.
We're currently looking into designing MFRs for a wide range of camcorders from Sony, JVC, and others... more info on that soon.
